For those big motor fans who can't wait for Formula 1 at the Catalunya Cirucuit, there's another great motor event right here at Lloret de Mar, the V Rally Costa Brava Historic 2008, February 29th and March 1st and 2nd. The Rally is only for Historic rally cars and there are already more than 160 inscriptions. Among this year's participants, Sandro Munari will be driving with number 1. English, French, Flemish Portuguese and Italian have been the first in sending their subscription. Papi Babler, at his 84 years of age, will be back at the front driving a Garatge Internacional car. As with the previous edition, the number of participants will be limited to 150 teams, selected among all the inscriptions received.
Out of the classification there will be a group of Vehicles of Patrimonial Interest which are too "young" to participate, and which will become part of an exclusive VIP caravan. Among the selected vehicles we'll be able to enjoy the view of beautiful Groups A and B, such as a RS200 Ford, two Renault5 Maxi-Turbo, one Ferrari, one BMW 325, and two Lancia 037. The aforementioned caravan will have a maximum of 10 vehicles which will make most part of the itinerary, but which will leave the route at given places. They will be moving between cars 000 and 00. |
