It’s hard to believe that such a virgin beach can be so near of the most touristic town of Costa Brava, Lloret de Mar. The new urbanization that is being built just at the entrance might change this, so if you are staying at the Hotel Savoy, you should go visit it by any means to contemplate it in all it’s glory. Get there early in the morning so you get a chance to see it in it’s best moment.

From the Hotel Savoy, take the main road Blanes-Lloret de Mar in direction towards Blanes on the left, sea side. Once you get to the very end of Lloret de Mar, you’ll notice all the new construction of luxury villas, on what’s called Jardines de Santa Clotilde, walk the paved road that runs uphill, just after the sign which indicates the walking roads to the beaches of Boadella and Santa Cristina. Once you reach the end you’ll see you are getting into a small pinewood. There is a sign there of the beach to guide you. Follow the dirt road and enjoy the walk.

If instead of taking this road, you walk a bit further up the paved road looking for another way down, the walk is longer but you’ll also enjoy some breathtaking views Down bellow you’ll see a virgin beach, with turquoise waters and pintoresque rocks. If you walk a little to your right you’ll see Santa Cristina Beach. A thick vegetation and the scent of rosemary and pinetrees follow you all the way. White pine trees with fancy shapes finish the picture of that unforgettable Costa Brava postcard.

Boadella beach is long and narrow. Large pink granite rocks devide it into smaller beaches and make excellent place to dive from as the water gets deep pretty fast. The white sand makes the water look turquoise blue and it’s cristal clear most of the time because of the curents. The last small beach of the Boadella is nudist but since the rocks are a large division there is room for all at Boadella. Non-nudist people usually stay at the first two beaches. At the first part of the beach you’ll find a kiosk selling cold drinks and sandwiches.
